Wedding Policy

Exclusivity

You must take the big house for a fee for the day before and the day of your wedding.

A survivors' day can follow if you wish at the regular B&B rate.

Occasionally we take small 1 day weddings but they are only during the shoulder season and normally on a Tuesday/Wednesday.

Minimum Numbers do not apply so long as the full venue fee is paid.

Agreement

There is no formal contract. We keep track of our the arrangements by email.

Insurance

We have Public Liability cover. Our ambition however is not to use it!

Tastings

The fee does not include a wedding tasting.

Corkage

It is usually easier to use our wine and bubby but should you wish to bring your own corkage will apply. €15 for wine and €20 for bubbly. 70cl.

Payment

A non-refundable prepayment of €1,000 is required to secure and confirm the booking date. It is transferrable for a period of 12 months

Another 1,000 euro four months out. Non refundable.

Pay the bulk of the food a week out when numbers have been locked in

Prepayments are acknowledged by email.

Pay the remaining sum at check out.

Package prices quoted are fixed and include VAT (however prices are subject to annual increase i.e. government VAT).

Temple House does not accept responsibility for any item(s), including but not limited to, wedding gifts, cards, cash and/or any other item which may be handed in. We strongly advise that an appointed member of your wedding party look after this.

No Food or Beverage items may be brought into the house or consumed on site, without prior agreement, apart from the wedding cake. All HACCP regulations apply to external suppliers.

Last orders 1.30am

Music and entertainment must cease by 2am.

Carriages for non-residents at 2am

Residents are asked to retire by 2.45am at the latest

We may cancel an event if it might prejudice the reputation of Temple House, and in such event we will refund all advance payments made but will have no further liability.

Temple House reserves the right to eject any guest(s) from the premises that they deem to be displaying behaviour that is inappropriate, aggressive, and/or a danger to health, safety or welfare of any other person(s) on the premises including staff and/or any other guest.

In the unlikely event of a cancellation by the wedding couple, notification must be sent to us by email. Your prepayment(s) will be forfeited and cancellation payments may apply.
