Self-catering accommodations in Sligo offer a wonderful way to explore this scenic region at your own pace. Whether you’re planning a relaxing getaway or an adventure-filled trip. The poet W. B. Yeats found inspiration in this beautiful county, and you’ll see why.

Staying at Temple House is a wonderful experience. A flexible option might be our charming self-catering cottage, for a Sligo holiday home rental vacation, set amidst the idyllic surroundings of Temple House estate. It was the Gardener's Cottage from c1825. It is a beautiful building bursting with character and a haven whether you are enjoying the activities in the area or if you prefer somewhere to wind down a little.

It sleeps up to 8 in two twin and two double bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. The one downstairs has a separate bath and shower, complementing the downstairs twin bedroom should somebody find stairs a challenge.

There is a bright airy kitchen with a large table seating everybody. All the kit is electric but we like the French press cafetiere so get some of your favourite ground coffee for that well deserved me-time in the garden.

You will find on-site boating, coarse fishing, bird watching and miles of walking opportunities across the estate. Within easy reach are beautiful beaches, surfing, archaeological sites, riding schools, trout lakes and four championship golf courses. Traditional music and dancing sessions are often held nearby. Temple House Estate in south Sligo is well placed to tour the Wild Atlantic Way, south Donegal, Mayo and parts of Connemara too.

If you are planning an event at the big house, the cottage is the perfect solution if numbers over-spill.
