Outdoor Event Venue

Temple House is a family estate of 1,000 acres. The Georgian house enjoys magnificent views overlooking the ruins of a 13th-century lakeside castle built by the Knights Templar.

Why hold your event at Temple House?

Imagine…

  • The parkland

Sweeping parkland with the Georgian house, Knights Templar castle and Templehouse Lake as a backdrop.

  • The walled garden

Fruit trees and open space to set up in, behind old stone walls.

  • The rockery

A sheltered space in mature, mainly natural woodland — which is rather special.

  • The Coach Yard

A venue of beautiful architecture in local limestone.

  • The venue field

    Framed with magnificent mature trees.

Access & practicalities

Built for events, proven by a festival

  • Traffic flow

A one-way system using the estate’s four avenues works well — as demonstrated by Temple House Festival.

  • By road & rail

The bus passes along the edge of the estate on the N17; Ballymote station is on the Dublin line.

  • Parking

Plenty of well-drained fields with estate roads and additional purpose-built tracks.

  • Camping & accommodation

Camping is easy at Temple House; the house and self-catering cottage are on site, with Sligo’s B&Bs and hotels nearby.

  • Ownership

Family owned, ensuring swift decision-making and flexibility.
